Marlinespike: a pointed iron hand tool that is used to separate strands of a rope or cable.

A marlinspike is an extraordinarily versatile tool for the rigger or ropeworker.  Good for everything from untying stubborn knots to putting tension on thin lines, the usefulness of this slim steel spike is limited only by your imagination.

Clockstone Studios’ model is 5″ long, turned from a solid piece of 3/8″ stainless steel rod.  A 3/16″ hole in the handle fits a lanyard or leather thong, and the spike is made from 304 stainless steel for toughness and corrosion resistance.  Like all our products, it is made by hand in Rhode Island.

Marlinspikes are $20 apiece, plus shipping.   For orders or to enquire about different possibilities for size and shape, please e-mail us at clockstonestudios@gmail.com.
